The second Sunday mornings will be the Mouse(SOC) matches, based loosely on the MEU(SOC) qualifier using a service type rifle and sidearm. 8 round minimum/maximun capacity on the rifle with re-loads possible and 6 round minimum/maximum on pistol with reloads possible.

Mulitple targets on turners. In reality, any gun welcome, but the COF's will be designed around above requirements.

This will be loosely based on the MEUSOC qualifier course of fire, made range friendly.

Basically it will involve a rifle portion and then a pistol portion, both held on the pistol range at Pinetucky.

All of the rifle portion of the match will be at 25 and 50 yards and be shot from the firing line at the top of the range. It will include multiple targets using the turners we have. You will need a rifle with a detachable magazine as it will include reloads, and everything is
done on the clock. Optics? Bring whatcha' got, what's the good in buying toys if you can't play with them.

The pistol portion will be from 25 yards on in and begin on the 25 yard line on the pistol range. I'm not sure if there will be any shooting while moving yet, I haven't really had a discussion with a few of the people I like to run things by to see if we can do that in a safe manner. We have done it in training classes that were held out there, so it's possible, but I'll make that decision in a couple of weeks.

Now, a few things to take note of. I am going to run this akin to the PPC matches we have with a few exceptions. During the rifle COF I want to use a 'buddy' system, one shoots while the other RO's that shooter, then you switch. We only have four postitions that have multiple targets anyways, so I'm sure, at least I hope, we'll have to have a couple of relays to get everyone through. We'll only load what the COF calls for as far as round count. I know most of us have 20 and 30 rounders, heck, some of you guys may have 100 round Beta drums, by all means bring and use them, but if the COF calls for 6 rounds, that is what will be loaded, no exceptions. I will allow one alibi per COF due to equipment malfunction if brought to my attention after that string.
